CHINESE LIME JUICE SATAY - SELAYANG JAYA
Hmmm.....the meat was well marinated in normal satay spices but strong in corriander with a tinge of kaffir lime ( the one that used in Tom Yam Soup) . The meat is not the soft and tender type but chewy and the longer you chew you may taste the aroma of the satay. And there is some tiny shred of lime leaf in the satay.
The peanut sauce was tasty and not too sweet and according to the satay seller Romeo, he did not add in tapioca flour to thicken the sauce, that's why the sauce was a bit watery.

BYE BYE 2008 AND HELLO 2009
I WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2009!
Year 2008 has been very meaningful to me. It marks the tenth year since hubby recovered from his critical illness. I think he is the only person (maybe, I dunno) still walking around after claiming the life insurance. But the insurance was not enough to settle his enormous medical bills. So when he was fully recovered, we have to work very hard to settle whatever outstanding to the hospitals, take care of the two little boys, getting on with our life and realising our dreams that we have left far far behind. We work 7 days a week and taking a short break whenever we are tired and work even harder for the any loss incurred because of the break we take. We have to keep the pain to ourselves, keep mum about the rumours and misunderstanding around us because if we put too much negative emotion in our action, we may lost focus on our GOAL!
Along the way, we fight, we quarrel, we laugh and we cry....but we know we love each other, we love our children and we love our family. Year 2008 marked the 15th year anniversary of our marriage....i look forward to many many more years to come. Staying together needs lots of wisdom, compromise, understanding and loving. I always believe one need a companion and some money (老伴和老本)when one grows old.
We have achieved a lot for the past ten years. We went to many great holidays, we drive better cars and in year 2008 we moved to a new house. I am happy and satisfied because we see good results from our hard work. But we are not able to stop now, we still have two school going children. Opportunities are still there for us to make money. We should not grudge about our work because when we are able to work means we are healthy, we are wanted, we are useful, we are important and we are able to put food on the dinner table. Set our goal, focus, make it happen.
As the saying goes 'you gain some , you lose some'. I have more wrinkles on my face and more grey hair. I regret of not spending more time with my siblings, my parents. I regret I did not see the latest James Bond movie, I regret I did not attend my friends' gatherings or birthday party. I regret I eat too much and not finding time to do some exercise!! And many many more...........I am going to draw a list.
To all friends and family members, brothers, sisters, aunties and uncles, wherever u are, I always remember and love u. Happy New Year!
